Jason Wolf is beginning his fifth season on the Cardinal staff and fourth as the Prescott Football head coach. Jason is a 1988 graduate of Marinette High School (50 miles north of Green Bay) which is where he started his football playing career. His playing career then took him north and west to the University of Minnesota - Duluth where he played defensive back, graduated with a health and physical education teaching degree, and then began his coaching career as a graduate assistant, coaching the defensive backs for the 1993 season. Jason then moved back to Marinette in 1994 where he coached the defensive backs for the high school team. The next 3 seasons he spent coaching and teaching in the Robbinsdale (MN) School District at Cooper High School. He spent a season as a sophomore coach and then was promoted to the varsity defensive coordinator and co-head coach. Jason then left to rejoin the college coaching ranks as the defensive backs coach for the 1998 and 1999 seasons at UW-River Falls. He then went back to high school coaching for good as he joined the River Falls High School staff as the defensive coordinator for the 2000 season, the offensive coordinator the 2001 season and a seventh grade coach for a season. After taking a year off of coaching to spend more time with his young family, Jason then accepted the offensive coordinator position here at Prescott beginning the 2004 season. Jason currently teaches at the River Falls Middle School and lives in Hammond with his wife, Jennifer (a 3rd grade teacher at Malone Elementary), and two children, Nathan (7) and Anna (5). Corey Morning is beginning his fifth season with the Prescott Football Program. He is currently the varsity defensive coordinator, coaches the outside linebackers and the receivers on offense, and is a big part of the Prescott Strength and Conditioning program. Corey came to Prescott from the Frederic School District where he was the varsity football defensive coordinator for four years and the boys' head basketball coach for three years. Corey's football career started as a player at Bloomer High School and then led him to play defensive back at UW-Stout. He graduated from UW-Stout with a degree in Early Childhood Education. He currently teaches 1st grade at Malone Elementary School and is also the Prescott Boys' Head Basketball Coach. When Corey is not coaching and teaching, he enjoys fishing and camping.
Matt Smith is the elder statesman of the Prescott Football Coaching Staff. He is entering his 6th season with the Cardinals. Matt is going to be coordinating the Special Teams and will be working with the running backs and inside linebackers. As a player for Prescott High School, Matt excelled as a linebacker and quarterback. Since his graduation, he has always done all he could for the town and schools of Prescott. Matt is currently the head of the PCR (Prescott Community Recreation) Program, the Girls' Head Softball Coach, and also the Girls' Head Basketball Coach. Matt teaches Business Education at Prescott High School and lives in town with his wife Meghan and his chocolate lab "Major". When he is not coaching, Matt still enjoys participating in athletic endeavors, such as playing golf, softball, basketball, and working out.
Luke Kjelland is entering his second season as a Prescott Football Coach. He is the varsity offensive coordinator and will be in charge of the offensive and defensive lines this season. He also played a big role in our off-season strength training program this past spring and summer. Luke came to us from the River Falls School District where he served as a high school assistant for a season, and also spent four seasons as a middle school football coach. Luke also coached track and field for the Wildcats at the high school for four seasons. Luke is a graduate of Westby High School and got his teaching degree from UW-River Falls. He currently is a 4th grade teacher at Malone Elementary School. When away from football, Luke enjoys spending time with his wife, Sara, along with being an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer.
Clynt Kistler is a rookie to the Cardinal staff. He is an exciting addition as he played for the Cardinals 3 years ago and was a key component to the playoff team that went 8-3 in 2005. After receiving All-Conference and All-Region honors his senior season, Clynt went and played one season of football at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and then transferred to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls to play for the Falcons. Clynt will be coaching the freshmen this season, working as their defensive coordinator and then concentrating on the defensive backs for the varsity. He will also be coaching the C team girls' basketball team this winter. Clynt is currently living in River Falls and enjoys hunting and fishing when not coaching.

Ron Hanestad is entering his second season with the Cardinal staff and his second year as an alternative high school teacher for the Prescott School District. He is the freshmen head football coach and will be coaching the outside linebackers and running backs. Ron's playing experience started at Boyceville High School, then moved him to Winona State University for a season before he transferred and finished his college playing career as a tight end at UW-River Falls. Ron recently came out of retirement to play left offensive tackle for the semi-pro team, the Northern Wisconsin Thunderhawks, this past summer. Before coming to the Cardinals last season, Ron had coached the offensive line at UW-River Falls the previously two seasons. Ron resides in Glenwood City with his wife Becky and his three daughters and enjoys stock car racing in his spare time.
John Ott is another rookie on the coaching staff for the Cardinals this season, but is no rookie to coaching. After playing one season at Vermillion Community College he then helped coach the team the following year for the 1990 season. After finishing his physical education degree at Bemidji State University in 2002, John then became the head coach at LaPorte High School (MN) where he earned the Heartland Conference "Coach Of The Year" honor in his first season. He then became an assistant coach at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School (MN), which is where he met and worked with Coach Wolf in the Robbinsdale School District. John then became the offensive coordinator for two seasons at Northland Community College in Thief River Falls, MN where his offenses ranked 10th and 7th in the nation in rushing. His career then brought him back to high school as the head coach of Mora High School (MN) in 2002. The past few seasons he has been an assistant at Sibley East High School (MN) and most recently New Prague High School (MN). He will be working with the inside linebackers and offensive line this season. John loves sports, particularly football and baseball, and enjoys spending time with his 4 children, his girlfriend Michelle, and her two children.
Chris Brekken will be starting his first season of coaching for Prescott High School, but is no stranger to the football program as he has been coaching at the youth and middle school levels the past four seasons. Chris will be working primarily with the inside linebackers and also be helping out with the freshman team. He is a graduate of Prescott High School and enjoys touring around on his Harley when not coaching football.
Craig Greenwood will be starting his first season with the Cardinals. He will be coaching the defensive line, primarily working with the defensive ends. Although new on staff, Craig is not new to the area or to football. He is a graduate of Park Cottage Grove High School and then went on to play football at the University of North Dakota for the 1982 and 1983 seasons. Craig then transferred to the University of Minnesota - Duluth to finish up his playing career, then coached a season as a Graduate Assistant for the Bulldogs in 1987. Craig currently lives in River Falls with his wife and four daughters and enjoys the outdoors, motorcycles, and vacations with his family.
Dr. Scott Williamson is entering his 26th season as the on the field team doctor for the Prescott Football Team. Along with assisting the football team, Dr. Williamson has also previously worked with the baseball team and the wrestling program as both a coach and team doctor. He is a Doctor of Chiropractics and has had his own private practice in Prescott for the past 27 years, specializing in athletic injury, biomechanics and general spinal health. Dr. Williamson is a graduate of Park High School in Cottage Grove (MN), where he was a running back and defensive back for the football team. He then went on to the University of Minnesota and finally the Northwestern College of Chiropractics. Dr. Williamson is an avid golfer, who also enjoys motorcycling, and is a big-time Packer fan. He has two sons (33 and 29) and 3 grandchildren (6, 4, and 2).
